The education system in China is huge, with hundreds of thousands of students taking the
national entrance exam each year, the fairest way to get into university. To get into a good
college, we need to do those kind of test to get better grades. We are so small, one might even
say insignificant, in the face of this system.
I am not trying to change or bash this, but rather trying to deconstruct it from the repetitive and
automated materials, to read and see it anew. This kind of material is rational, but life will not
always be rational, so I try to find and express something sensual in the rules of the machinery.
These things are very important components of our lives. I hope that with this project I can leave
some light-hearted visual feelings and induce imagination.
In a word, I just want to find some beauty in something boring and mechanical, to find some
sensuality in it. To give a light-hearted feeling and to show moments of life, things that we always
ignore and don't care about.
